Joy Ready-Johannes is a dynamic speaker delivering timely messages that both inspire and compel others to step out and use their gifts to meet the needs of those around them. For almost 20 years, Joy has trained individuals, religious groups, and public officials on how to reach the needs in their communities effectively.

 

Joy has been ministering to the impoverished and underprivileged families around the world since 1994. She was the Founder and Director of King's Club International Ministries, a community outreach which met the needs of over 3,000 families weekly. She has raised funds to support reconciliation of families affected by the Rwandan genocide, and most recently traveled to East Africa to help with the famine relief efforts. She has established a micro-finance enterprise empowering Nigerian women economically, and worked with Pakistani farmers training on better farm practices. She currently serves as the Food Systems & Policy Director for the City of New Haven. Her position is one of only 21 in the United States. She is working both locally and nationally establishing policies and working in the the community to feed more people and make healthy food choices an option for all. A fearless woman, she has followed the Lord's leading and worked in some of the most dangerous places in the world.
